Historical Maritim Mobile Museum

Usage for Ham Radio Purposes

DKEGDLØKEG

The primary usage of the radio room is to show the historical character of such a room and how maritime mobile radio was used and not at least for what reasons. Sounds in telegraphy of this service are running for demonstration. The room maybe visited during the opening hours of the ships museum.
An additional feature is the usage of a separated amateur radio station in this room. It is activated by ham radio groups during special events as "Travemuende Week", "Sail" etc. as well as during special related amateur radio events. This may also be arranged for other ham radio groups if they wish to use the room, too. In such cases please contact us. You may carry your own equipment with you if you do not want to use the local facilities. The on board already installed antennas (40/80m dipole and an hf ground plane with remote adjusting opportunity) are available via PL-plug. The call sign DL0KEG maybe used.
Low cost sleeping cabins on board are available and may be booked, i.e. double cabin at 47.60 € per night located beneeth the radio room.
If you have any queries, please feel free to contacting us.
